Q&A
What is the refund policy?
You are eligible for a 100% refund if your service request is cancelled at least 24 hours before your scheduled meeting with a tax preparer. No refunds are available if the service is cancelled within 24 hours of the meeting or after the tax return has been prepared.
What if I miss a deadline?
Missing a key tax deadline, such as the filing deadline or a payment deadline, can result in penalties and interest charged by the Tax Authority. If you believe you may miss a deadline, contact us immediately. We can work quickly to file your return and may be able to advise you on how to minimize any potential late-filing or late-payment penalties.
Why should I file a tax return?
Filing your tax return is about more than just paying tax; it ensures you meet your legal obligations and allows you to access crucial benefits and credits. Even if you had no income, filing a return is necessary to: -Get a Refund: Claim any overpaid taxes. -Access Benefits: Receive government benefits like the GST/HST credit or the Canada Child Benefit (CCB), which are calculated based on your tax return. -Carry Forward Credits: Establish or carry forward valuable tax credits and deductions for future years (like tuition credits). -Immigration reasons.
